Welcome to the newest version of Gerard Way Fan. I am so glad to finally get a new look up for the site – pretty similar to the gallery, but I think it’s far more professional and streamlined. I’m still in the process of tweaking the coding etc, so please bear with me whilst I get it all sorted out! I’m also in the midst of revamping the media section too, so stay tuned for that.
Hey guys, Gerard here… I’m hanging out with Mikey in New Jersey, relaxing, drinking coffee, talking comics, and getting ready to take a drive down south tomorrow. I don’t know what states I’m passing through but I know where I’m heading. Don’t worry, I’ve got a the Clockwork Orange audiobook, a Dr. Pepper air-freshener, and a GPS so I don’t get lost. We figured by now everyone that’s a fan of the band might be wondering what we’re up to, what we’re planning, so I thought I’d write this letter and fill you all in.
Things look a bit wonky around here – as part of my host’s new regulations, I’ve had to change the size of the ads (annoying but necessary) and so they’ve made the rest of the site look a total mess – grr! But, good news is that I’ve made a brand new layout for the site which will be up asap – I’m going to the Reading Festival this weekend (third year in a row!), so it will be up sometime next week!
The lovely Lu has also donated a bunch of new pictures from 2008 – check those out in the gallery!
Finally, the guys at MTV News have posted an interview with Gerard here, which goes into details about what the other guys are up to, The Umbrella Academy, and what the new MCR album will be like – enjoy!

My Chemical Romance, AFI, Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds To Mars and 65daysofstatic have all teamed up to remix tracks by The Cure in aid of the International Red Cross.
The Hypnagogic States EP will be rleased on September 13 and will feature the following tracklisting:

03, Sleep When I’m Dead (remixed by Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance)
04, The Perfect Boy (remixed by Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy)
05, Exploding Head Syndrome’ (a mix of all four tracks by 65 Days Of Static)
The Cure’s as yet untitled 13th studio album will be released on October 13.
