Hello there. As you know, the limited edition coffin boxes of “The Black Parade Is Dead!” are sold out. They came with Day of the Dead-inspired masks designed by each member of the band, but you can now buy each mask individually by clicking here. Only 5,000 of these masks have been made, so there are only 1,000 of each band member’s mask. Head over to the MCR store and pick ‘em up.

My Chemical Romance have confirmed that they will be covering a Bob Dylan song for an upcoming film adaptation of Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen.
The band, who will be following in the footsteps of fellow rockers Guns N’ Roses who covered Bob Dylan’s Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door in 1992, will be covering Desolation Row from Dylan’s 1965 album, Highway 61 Revisited, for the flick.
“My Chemical Romance [are] absolutely awesome,” director Zack Snyder told MTV. “And Gerard is a huge fan of Watchmen.”
“He’s a super-great guy, and an awesome musician,” the director continues. “And so we’re trying to work with them right now to put together possibly a song for the end titles. I’ve talked with him and I’ve heard a little bit of some stuff that’s he’s [been doing] and it’s pretty freaking cool.”
My Chemical Romance will be the only ‘modern’ band to feature on the film’s soundtrack.
Watchmen will hit cinemas next year.
I’m really sorry about the lack of updates around here lately – I’ve been super busy working full-time lately, and I haven’t had a chance to really get to grips with the site. Hopefully with the imposed summer hiatus of the band, I can really get this place back up-to-date and stocked full for when the boys return to the stage!
In other very exciting news, I am excited to announce that I’m busy working behind the scenes on something special with a very cool site – Buzznet! Together we aim to make this the best, biggest and most *exclusive* site on Gerard Way/MCR, so stay tuned and all will be unveiled shortly!
“THE BLACK PARADE IS DEAD!” – IN STORES NOW
It’s time – our live CD/DVD “The Black Parade Is Dead!” is in stores today. It’s got two live performances – the very last show of The Black Parade in its entirety in Mexico City in front of 20,000 people, and a really small show for 200 of our hometown friends in Jersey.
There are just a few copies of the limited edition left too, which comes in a pinewood box and a ceramic mask designed by one of us, which you can get theblackparadeisdead.com
And if you’re one of those people who like to get music digitally, click here to get it at iTunes!
Hope you like it as much as we did making it! See you all soon.
